Dr. Ashkan Alizadeh
Dr. Ashkan Alizadeh graduated from the New York University College of Dentistry after earning his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Physiology from the University of California, Davis. He became a dentist to create beautiful, healthy smiles and help his patients feel more confident about dental visits. Dr. Alizadeh improves smiles through his focus on cosmetic dentistry and full mouth rehabilitation at the J Street Dental Group. He increases patient confidence by decreasing fear, a challenge made easier by his certification to administer oral conscious sedation. As a result, his patients can undergo lengthy treatments without feeling any stress or pain.
A Dental Communicator
Dr. Alizadeh regularly receives compliments for his ability to listen and to clearly communicate what dentistry can do for his patients. “Somebody comes in, they’re not happy with their smile, and they want to improve their mouth. I can immediately make a difference. I love dentistry for that reason.” His approach brings honesty and clarity to the client-dentist relationship, a hallmark of the service provided by the J Street Dental Group.
“Many people don’t really understand their dental needs and don’t value their oral health,” says Dr. Alizadeh. With his genuine smile, calm manner, and evident personal interest, he strives to educate every patient about their dental health options, the technologies available to help them, and the long-term benefits of caring for their teeth.
Running a Family Practice
Dr. Alizadeh is married to fellow J Street Dental Group dentist Dr. Maryam Saleh and they have three children together. The family lives in the immediate area and the doctors manage their schedules so that one parent is always available for their children. The whole family enjoys the outdoors. Dr. Alizadeh is especially fond of track and field events and long-distance running, a habit he started at Santa Clara High School and continued at Foothill College and UC Davis.
Dr. Alizadeh is an active member of the Sacramento District Dental Society, the California Dental Association and the American Dental Association. In addition, he holds a Masters with the Academy of General Dentistry. This special status makes him one of the approximately 2,500 dentists in the United States with this degree. It indicates his devotion to continuing dentistry education and mastery of the many technical aspects of his chosen medical field.
